How to Use the Translator Prompt Manager
First, specify the detailed instructions for all your prompts in the Custom Instructions section of your AI chatbot.
Example Custom Instructions
"Do the following for the different prompts I provide:
• Rephrase: reword the text to make it read better and more fluently, but always retain the core message.
• Correct: rectify the text for proper spelling and grammar in Dutch for the Netherlands.

Next, trigger one of the preset prompts using the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+# (e.g. Ctrl+Shift+1 for Prompt 1). On a Mac use shortcut Command+Shift+#.
When you trigger the browser extension using the shortcut, it will insert one of the pre-configured prompts into your AI assistant's input field. You can then paste your copied text from the clipboard next to the prompt, and let the AI work its magic.

Chrome Extension
Due to browser limitations, the Chrome version of Prompt Manager for Translators support only 4 custom prompts. Prompts 1 to 4 are optimized for translators and text editors, but you can customize them to suit your workflow.
Edge Extension
As Edge is a Chromium-based browser, it supports only 4 custom prompts, just like Chrome. Prompts 1 to 4 are optimized for translators and text editors, but you can modify them to suit your workflow. If you need more than 4 prompts, consider using Firefox instead.
In Edge browsers, the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+# might be assigned to a system function. If this is the case, please try Ctrl+Alt+#. Alternatively, customize the keyboard shortcuts according to the instructions below.
How to Customize Prompt Manager for Translators
Need to customize or create new prompts? Go to your browser’s Extensions Manager (… > Extensions > Manage Extensions) and click Options. There, you can edit the default prompts or add your own to suit your translation workflow.
